Tupaia belangeri      CDC25/CDC25

※ CDC25 family introduction

CDC25 phosphatase contains three members in human genome, which are known as, cdc25A, cdc25B and cdc25C. CDC25 phosphatase is distantly related to other members of the PTP superfamily and rhodanese domain contribute to its catalytic activity (1). CDC25s are key regulator of cell cycle. Through dephosphorylation Thr14 and Tyr15 in cyclin-dependent kinases, CDK is activated and in turn drives the progression through the cell cycle (2).
